Highlights

I did so much this weekend, i shall highlight the fun stuff and I was lame and have no pictures.....

1. I got to see my wonderful parents :) 

2. I had girls night with Lauren, Courtney, and Emily {even though I always fall asleep on them}

3. Lauren made homemade oreo cheesecups {delicious, mouth watering}

4. Watched ALOT of movies and TV :)

5. Bargain shopped at Goodwill

6. Played with Roxy(Nileahs hamster), absolutely obsessed kind of want my own :)

7. Had a wonderful time at church {Let Him shine through us!!!}

8. Painted AGR-its getting there (pictures soon I promise!)

9. Bachelorette with Trang [killing my mind show but its addicting]

10. 2 UNEXPECTED days with Chris {its was glorious}

Easy Cheesy Beef and Bow Ties :)

So I have never posted about the dinners I have made before and I probably should because they are DELICIOUS and I cook pretty much every night.  Tonight I made Easy Cheesy Beef and Bow Ties, it was yummy. Its like Mexican noodles {weird combo-I know} Here is the recipe, you should try it!! 

INGREDIENTS

2 1/2

cups uncooked bow-tie (farfalle) pasta (6 oz)

1

lb ground turkey (the recipe actually called for beef)

1/2

cup chopped green onions (8 medium)

1

can (10 3/4 oz) condensed Cheddar cheese soup

1

cup Old El Paso® Thick 'n Chunky salsa

1 1/2

cups shredded Cheddar-American cheese blend (6 oz)

1/2 can Rotel (I added this for extra flavor and spice) 

DIRECTIONS

1Cook and drain pasta as directed on package.2Meanwhile, in 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked. Drain.3Reserve 2 tablespoons onions for garnish; stir remaining onions, the soup and salsa into beef. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 5 minutes.4Stir in cooked pasta; cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with cheese; cook just until melted. Sprinkle with reserved 2 tablespoons onions.

Rain..Rain..Rain..comes pouring down!!

As I was painting the AGR house, the boys started yelling at me "Holy Crap Kalea come out here, you gotta see it!!" I was thinking, "really I am painting trim, do I have to come?!?" BUT I did :) And man o' mighty am i glad I did, it was craziness I saw!!!!! See for yourself :)

Well for the past couple of days I have been painting AGR (Chris' frat house), they are completely redoing the ENTIRE house!! I should have taken before pictures, but I will definitely put after pictures :) Thats pretty much what is going on right now :) Oh and I went to a new college group tonight, I think I really like it we will see how I like main service tomorrow :) I miss my family and Chris, being in Tucson is pretty lonely so I can't wait till school starts up!!

What I wore 7/20/2011

Well this will be my first what I wore blog entries, mainly because I really don't have too many cute clothes {its a secret} and because I hate taking picture of myself [talk about awkward]. Anywho this is my outfit and I actually really like it and picked it out myself!!! (and yes, I did buy heels) I met the new dean today so I had to give a good first impression :)

My Grillin' Man :)

For my birthday I asked for a grill since we had a little podunk one that sat on the ground and was not very pleasant to grill on. So for my birthday I received a grill, unfortunately I am not very good at grilling (that's what I have Chris for) and Chris has not been down here since he is working for Jace BUT he came down this week and brought R2D2(the grill). Sooooo we had a BBQ tonight!! It was so fun, R2D2 is adorable, and the shishkabobs were delicious!! I love my new grill and so does Chris :) {I think he enjoys it more than me}

F-U-N!!!!!!

The day at the resort was super duper fun!! It was just mom, dad, sissy, and I all day- we hung out at the lazy river, slide, and on the lounge chairs all day! Super relaxing and fun....after that Lauren and I went shopping to get some stuff for her dorm and then clothes shopping. I bought more clothes at Romy to make my closet a little cuter :) I am getting there, one day I will have cute clothes again! Then that night, I went out and rode in the tractor while Chris baled hay, it was fun and exhausting after such a long day but it was good to spend time with him.  I even took a little nap :) Sorry this post is so boring, I am super exhausted.....

Happy Anniversary to Mom and Dad!!!!

Happy Anniversary to my loving parents!! They have such strong love, something I aspire to have with my husband someday.  Its fun to watch how much they truly love each other, my dad still makes my mom laugh, sometimes they act like they are in high school, and dad still drives mom bananas when he doesnt come when dinner is ready!! They are going to a resort and spending the weekend, Lauren and I will go up tomorrow to spend time at the water park there with them :) We also got them a lemon cookie from paradise bakery :) Cannot believe they have been together 31 years and married for 22! Congrats mom and dad, you are amazing and the best parents any girl could ask for!!!!!!

What to do with myself!!

Today is just one of those days...I do not want to do anything..had a productive day at work{so I am not totally slacking} but other than that I really just want to do nothing. Crafting does not sound good{cannot believe I just said that} reading {meh} watching tv {nope dont want to} work out {still not feeling 100%}....I am at a loss. Thats my day. Hopefully I can find something to do to keep myself occupied for the rest of the evening. Hope you have a wonderful and more productive evening than I :) 

New Inspirations!!!

I am so doing these!!! They are awesome and I seriously need to get more organized with my hair stuff and jewelry!!They were all found at My Yellow Sandbox, I love all of her stuff!! 

Free SLURPEE!!!!!!!!!!

Today is 711's birthday!!! So everyone that goes in gets a free slurpee, of course I had to go get one :) Its free which makes it taste even better!! Silly picture, but I had to share :)

Flagstaff!!!!

Flagstaff this weekend for work...it was BEAUTIFUL!!! Weather was gorgeous, food was delicious, alumni were hilarious, decorations were amazing, entertainment was great, my feet hurt, and lots of rain!!! Sums up the weekend :)

Costco Card!!!

SO I HAVE TO SHARE MY EXCITEMENT, I GOT A COSTCO CARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know its kind of lame, but I have used my moms up until this point and its been really hard sometimes so I finally got one!! Sooo yay!! yay! yay!!

Lake Weekend!!

Such a wonderful weekend!! Chris and I went up with Jordan and Alex on Friday night to meet mom, dad, Lauren, and Olivia- we didn't get up there until really late so we pretty much went to bed! Then on Saturday we woke up pretty early and were ready to go to the lake, dad did not want to go so mom decided she would take us.  Jordan had two friends come up (Anthony and Austin), they met us at the house and we all left for the lake, the rest of the Bracketts had car trouble so that is why we took everyone.  It was a beautiful day, everyone surfed and we had a grand time! Then the Brackett's showed up so half the boat left meaning Jordan, Alex, Anthony and Alex which made lots of room on the boat.  We just hung out, surfed, and swam until a huge storm started rolling in!!! We hurried to get in but unfortunately we were caught in the storm, mom was able to get off the boat to get the trailer but man o' mighty did the storm hit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about 7 foot waves, coming over the front of our boat and I was trying to load the boat, NOT happening!! I started having a melt down because I was getting frustrated so Christopher came to the rescue and loaded the boat!! It was a crazy storm with 7 foot waves and wind but we made it alive! The night was fun and the next day Chris and I decided to stay home with mom because number 1 we were red like tomatoes and number 2 there were wayyyy too many people on the boat because Niane, Jason, Nileah, Aunt Dottie, Brian, Daniel, and Emmily arrived.  We did go out on the 4th though with the Bracketts, nice and early morning but a wonderful day! Chris and I both wakeboarded for the first time in a season and got more sun burnt! Then we headed home, ate dinner at Chris' parents, and crashed for the night! What a great weekend of family and friends!! Happy late 4th of July!!
