Give Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everybody has a wonderful day with their family and friends. It is so wonderful to relax and be with my family after the past week of craziness!! Just a simple thanksgiving for us :)

Buckeye Weekend

Thursday night Dillon and I headed to Buckeye for the 3 day weekend! It was pretty late Thursday so we pretty much went to bed after talking to his family. Friday we woke up and were pretty lazy all morning not really doing anything, in the afternoon we had to load "Ruby" (Cole's car) up and take her to the mechanic. After that we headed out to go shooting...suppose to go out for coyotes but we were a little late so Cole & Dillon were just shooting.....and yes I shot a gun (wait until you see my face)... then we walked around for a bit...saw a beautiful sunset! And Dillon took us to this awesome spot, literally like Alice in the Wonderland hole to get there, we had to crouch for most of the way but when we got there it was a gorgeous pond! The rest of the night we hung out with Cole & Alyssa, I seriously LOVE them! Saturday morning...I had to do driving school.....bleh! But then after that we went canoeing and fishing, unfortunately we did not catch anything but we did have a great time! The place was absolutely gorgeous! Saturday night I met Dillon's friends and we hung out all night--interesting experience definitely different than I thought....Sunday we hung out all day, played a game of Scrabble with his mom and brother-Chance, then headed over to his grandparents. His grandparents are wonderful, they are hilarious!! Then we headed home so I could house sit for Peggy and John. That was my fantastic adventurous weekend!!!!

Its that time of year again...HOMECOMING!!!!

Homecoming is my busiest time of year because of work! Since we put on the biggest events for CALS and I am in charge of one, we work ALOT the week of homecoming! But I still did manage to have some fun during homecoming, I did more this year than ever before. I worked 40 hours plus school and left a little time for fun :) Friday I worked from 5am to 8:30 pm. In the morning we had the AgCAT Open which is the golf tournament, I was only there for a couple hours to set up and register people. Cheyenne is in charge of the AgCAT and it turned out fantastic!!! Then Sarah and I headed off to the office with Joanne and Peggy to do auction stuff. We were in the office all day until we had a board meeting with the Alumni where we got these adorable scarfs :) Then Dillon and I went to the bonfire, which I have actually never been to, it was super fun and HOT! It was a little windy so the grass caught on fire!! After the bonfire I went home because I was exhausted from working all day. Saturday morning---it was finally here! Everything Sarah and I worked for the whole year was finally ready to be put together. We got there at 5:30 to set up all the packages and tables and do the rest of set up. The auction started at 8am and was tremendous!! We made about $11,000 in Live Auction and a total of about $22,000 the whole event! Yahoo...those go towards student scholarships for students LIKE ME!! After we cleaned up, I went to lunch with mom and dad at Mi Niditos which of course was delicious. I am so happy they came up to see me {smile} Then I headed to AGR to see the boys and then to the game!! We did not win, our team stinks...its actually pretty embarrassing. We left around half time, went back to AGR, and hung out all night! Sunday was a catch up on sleep and do homework day. Sorry this is late, life has been a little crazy but I promise the post from this weekend will be just as good :)

Aren't our scarfs AWESOME!!

Halloween!!

Not too much to say about halloween, but it has been super fun! Friday we had a shin dig at our places....we were suppose to carve pumpkins but that never happened :) That is a-ok though! Courtney and I dressed up as desperate housewives...if I do say so myself we look pretty darn cute :P FYI- I wore very tall heels--they were even red!! I didn't get too many pictures which is very unlike me BUT I was having way too much fun dancing. Saturday I laid in bed pretty much all day relaxing which is very unlike me--well actually all day besides the two hours for lunch :) Then Saturday night I went to AGR to hang out with the boys.....I just adore them all. Sunday was hang out, grocery shopping, and do homework day. Hope you had an excellent halloween! First time I haven't had chili :( Miss momma's cooking!!  Oh and I found this delicious recipe for pumpkin muffins that can be found here.

I miss my Nileah bug!!
