O the joys of Christmas!

On Wednesday evening we went up to the lake house to enjoy some good ol' family time :) You see we were suppose to go to the lake house on Monday, but my Daddy is kinda special and fell off the stairs {he forgot there was 18 and missed the last step. Thankfully, it was not broken it was just a bad sprain and hurt his ligaments bad and had a half cast for a couple days. Which means we did not get to do much at the lake house, so we sat around and watch Christmas movies LITERALLY the whole time!!!!

My wonderful boy came up to see me on Thursday {smile} and he certainly gets bored fast, he wasn't too fond of the Christmas movies so we went and played in the snow with Sissy. We had a grand time, sledded, "ice skated", and showed Dillon half way up to the angel wings to the amazing waterfall. We also got our very first Christmas tree and decorated it up :)

 We did presents Christmas Eve Eve since he left the morning of Christmas eve. He opened up his tie blanket {best present ever, he takes it everywhere :)}, UA camo hat, and comfy pjs! And I opened my gorgeous Brighton Necklace and Earrings that I love! He had to leave on Christmas Eve :( but I had a wonderful rest of the day with my family!! We had a delicious dinner {let me tell you lobster, salad, three cheese biscuits, bakes potatoes, the whole shabang!} and then hung out the rest of the night.

 Lauren and I left a cute little note for Santa :) I think he thought it was hilarious, because he wrote us a note back and said he took a picture of it and was putting it up in the Candy Cane Hall of Fame as an example for all the good little boys and girl to see.

Christmas morning, oh it was glorious {because I got to sleep in and Dig didnt wake me up because I slept in a different room}, but then we came out and guess what we got! SNOWBOARDS!!! Christmas was wonderful, we opened our stockings and presents. I got lots of wonderful goodies, an ipod alarm clock {much needed}, black boots, comforter, gift cards, purses, candy! I am very blessed!! Lauren also made us these amazing presents, very hard to explain so here are the pictures! I dont have snowboard pictures so I will post those later :)

After we had the traditional juevos rancheros, we got ready to go and headed up to the cabin in Pine to see the Taylor family! It was a wonderful time to see everyone and play! I hope you had a Merry Christmas and I cant wait to share about Lauren and I's adventures snowboarding!!

MeRrY cHrIsTmAs!!!

Merry Merry Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful day with your family full of blessings. And you remember the reason we celebrate Christmas :)
Luke 2:15-20
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

NEW experiences :)

My life has changed drastically in the past three months but I am learning to embrace change {sigh} and see what God has planned for me. I have a couple silly experiences to share since I thought in my life time..well basically they would never happen. Dillon makes me feel as life is just not serious and doing the things you have to. You see he is quite opposite from me, which on one hand worries but on another is great to get me out of my bubble. I am sure there is a ton of experiences I am going to miss BUT I shall highlight the shocking ones {ok shocking to me}.

1. Shooting {never thought I would pick up a gun--don't tell Dillon but it wasn't that bad :P}

2. Fishing {this takes patience..I am patient for most things but waiting for a stupid fish to bite my line..that is another story!}

3. Canoeing {This was super fun and kinda sketchy but I would definitely do it again :) }

4. Walking in new patterns to places, especially class {this is serious, I love love doing things the same especially when it comes to walking to class, it makes me know I am doing things right--but guess what that boy likes to make me walk other ways to the classes we shared....I have realized its like God you want to choose the way your life is going but you cant, you should let God lead you the way down your path}

5. Menudo {I literally had stomach in my stomach--not gonna lie this was ABSOLUTELY awful}

6. Alligator {it was fried and the seasoning was good, so in this case I didn't mind it, as dad would say "Wouldn't want it everyday!"}

7. Hunting {since we attempted I shall put it on the list but the day ended up as a snow day....I know my day is coming}

8. Mount Lemmon {ok so this is one of the least shocking ones but I have lived in Tucson for 3 years and never been, now I have been twice in one semester. Technically ones of our first dates :) --overlooking the city on a ginormous rock was gorgeous, this was before it was freezing! Sorry no pictures :( But there are the pictures from the second time we went :) }

Well that is all for my crazy adventures, at least I think so for now..don't worry I am sure there will be more to add very soon to the list :)

Mount Lemmon Snow!

My adorable boyfriend took me to Mount Lemmon to play in the snow {smile} ok actually he took me up there to hunt but there was wayyyy to many people up there to hunt SO we played in the snow--of course I was ok with that!! We made an awesome snowman, some sweet snow angels, had a freezing snow ball fight and he drew a huge K & D in the snow {cheesy but cute}! Oh and I used my new gloves that my Grandma Cake got me {perfect to get in the mail right before we went up}. The pictures are pretty good since he had no idea I was taking pictures pretty much the whole time. Loved spending the day up there playing in the snow :)
