Spring Break 2011!!

So it was a crazy decision on where to go California, Colorado, California, Colorado, and CALIFORNIA IT IS!!!  So I decided since Lauren and I won’t get much time together when she leaves for NAU (by the way GO DIGGY, so proud of her)..anyways so Lauren and I packed our stuff and headed to C-a-l-i-f-o-r-n-i-a!! The drive was really good went pretty fats and we didn’t get lost, that was a plus but we did see a GINORMOUS boulder on the way up to Big Bear! Our first actual day here we decided it would be appropriate to learn how t snowboard, I am still of my willingness to learn as I sit on the couch in pain of my knee and wrist.  I fell wayyyyyy to many times, BUT it was fun and I did learn how to go toeside and Lauren is amazing! Let me tell you a secret, I am a little jealous of her talent for her first day of snowboarding BUT I am proud of her and I am so glad she is really good considering she will be living in the freezing for the next 4 years of her life! I loved going and Rikki and Chardelle are fantastic teachers!!!!! So I sit now on the couch with a swollen knee, aching wrist, and lovely sunburn(it’s a good one J) The next day we got up and drove down the hill to go shopping for Laurens prom dress and stay at Aunt Patties.  After a long day and lots of dresses we finally found Laurens dress at Bebe for only $60.  Can you believe it? Bebe? For only $60, it was originally almost $300, we got a great deal!!!! She looks so elegant and grown up in it!! It was a dress made for Lauren!  Guess you will have to wait for Prom to actually see it(oh and since I am doing this a little late-She got asked to Prom by Ryan Acosta-yay!yay!yay!!) After shopping we went back to Aunt Patty’s and ate dinner with her and Uncle Maris.  Dinner was very entertaining, we learned how to say a bunch of words in Dutch. The best was learning Heads, Knees, and Shoulders in Dutch, it was hilarious.  I probably don’t have to say this but I shall, we were AWFUL!!!!!!!  I am pretty sure we butchered the language but it was hilarious anyways! The next morning we were off to Disneyland and California Adventure! Kelly(Rikki’s friend) that we have known for a long time got us a great deal on tickets so we only had to pay $50 for park hoppers.  It was an amazing day!! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, BUT I did see Aly& Josh there, they got engaged at Disneyland in front of the Finding Nemo ride, so ADORABLE!!!  Oh and my favorite part of the day…World of Color!! It was one amazing light show!! Let me tell you----if you haven’t seen it, I would pay 100 buckaroos just go to see it---YES ITS THAT AMAZING!!  The next day, which happened to be Friday we woke up early and went to breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa, such a shame we could not spend the whole day with them but Christopher broke his wrist(snowboarding in Colorado) so I wanted to get home to see him. BUT spring break was super duper fun!! Only if it was a little longer!! And this is a little late but school has been crazy and all….I am working on getting better at it….oh oh and look forward to my next post, me and Lauren did something exciting!! Ta-ta for now J

Oh the Gloriousness!!

There has been beautiful weather in Tucson the past week!  Though it has been a little up and down, it is always interesting to see the weather of this place that we call Arizona.  It goes from snowing(literally) to pouring one day and beautiful 80 degree weather two days after.  I thought I would share the gloriousness of my first day wearing jean shorts and a t-shirt ALL day and being perfectly comfortable.  Only if Arizona was this way all year round, then I would love to live here, too bad its not. I shall write later, I have a Chem Test Friday which means study...study...study!!

Slacker..Slacker...Well Not In School but definitely on this blog!!

Excuse my lateness for writing my back to school blog...I really am going to try to get better, I just never seem to have time! But here is my back to school, yes 3 weeks later blog.  So school has started, it has been super crazy busy, even worse then last semester...literally!  I go from 9am-6pm everyday(except Fridays I get done at 4)!!  But I guess thats what I get for taking two lab classes, that would be chemistry and biology, oh dear goodness me what was I thinking.  Thats ok though, I am getting through it with a lot of time spent at the library!  But now I have to tell you the Most BESTEST parts of my everyday, that would be eating lunch with Christopher, no matter how bad or good my day has been it just makes me a thousand times happier to see him :) Mostly he brings me lunch everyday or every once in a while we will go out.  Since I have such a crazy schedule thats about the only actual time I get to spend with him, and I LOVE every minute of it!!   So now the second best part, we moved into a new apartment, yay! It is absolutely wonderful and I just love the new layout of my room!!  Only downside, you cant shut the bathroom door in my room because of the bed, but its not a problem at all, thats what I have a hanging sheet for ;) Here is the first night in our apartment with everyone :) Third best thing, can you say CROCK POT?!? So as most of you know I got a crock pot, probably the best thing ever, I cook in it almost every night.  I am pretty sure the boys love it, we have had everything from sloppy joe's to roast to lasagna!  And not to mention about 10 people over every night!  I am becoming quite the cook :) {Just practicing for later on in life}    Oh and the boys got nerf guns, it always a war in our house!             The last couple of weekends have been nuts, we have had people over like crazy, almost every night!  I shall put pictures up to explain everything that has been going on! Oh and with my Bestest Friend Courtney who I have been spending a lot of time with :) Both of us went to both a basketball game and gymnastics meet for UA!!  So fantastic!!!  I also have an another "Big Sister" through CRU(my church group), her name is Amanda and she is super awesome!! And the coolest thing ever, as a sisterhood event with Sigma Alpha we got to go to the Zoo overnight!  I got to feed the giraffes, have a scavenger hunt, sleep over the monkey sanctuary, make beads, see how food is made, and go in the ant eaters night house!  What an amazing evening!!

The next night was Kevin's 20th birthday party...soooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!!

So I am a little scatterbrained because its midnight and I am exhausted! But I promise to start blogging more!   Tomorrow I have a CRU party, super fun!  Oh and I just found out I got an A on my bio test!!  Probably the best news I have gotten all week!!  So yahoo to that one!!
PS. I want a hedge hog as a pet as well :) Which means I cant live in Arizona :) o darn!
Tata for now!
I shall be writing soon!!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

New years Eve..... we went on an extremely fun off-roading adventure!  So it was snowing in Roosevelt-I could not believe it!  We decided that it was most necessary to go off roading in it- at the time it seemed like a grand idea now that I think of it not so much BUT it happened! Well we have a rhino and only one jeep now, sad day, Herbert(my jeep) was sold to my cousin in Cali so we no longer have 2 jeeps...which means that not everyone could fit in the jeep. Yup you guessed it right Lauren, Chris, and I pleasurable got in the rhino meaning NO TOP!  You should have seen us, it was a comedy show, each of us had about 5 layers of pants on which included tights, jeans, 2 pajamas, and sweats and for the top long sleeve, short sleeve, jacket, sweatshirt, heavy coat, and for our heads, beanies, headbands, and 2 hoods!  We looked like 3 oompa lompas but it was freezing out, could you blame us?!? The entire ride was actually fantastic it was not too cold until we were headed back and we hit a blizzard literally!!!!!  I thought my nose was going to fall off, the snow was hitting us so hard on our freezing faces I could only laugh/cry.  It was quite the adventure but life is what you make it and that was definitely a memory that I will never forget!!

So for the actual night we were just bums, actually the whole week we were super lazy, I have officially seen all the new toddlers & tiaras and played the dance game enough to want to keep playing!!  We lit off a couple fireworks and laid by the fire all night, Lauren and I made New Years Noodles- basically an experiment dinner that we thought was delicious and Chris said it tasted gross and then it was midnight, of course I got my first 2011 kiss from Christopher Jon Malmanger, the man of my dreams and the only man I want to kiss for the rest of my life and then me and him stayed up and watched I believe it was 3 movies- Yours, Mine, and Ours & Wanted & My Big Fat Greek Wedding!!   I cannot believe it is already 2011~ Happy New Year!!
Now for the normal new years resolutions I only have a couple because I always come up with more as the year goes by but here are the few..
1. Make someone smile everyday
2. Get back into shape
3. Get better grades then last semester (cross our fingers NO B's)
4. Eat Better
5. Keep on crafting!!
6. Make sure to find time to blog
7.  Stay on top of everything!
8, 9, 10 shall be filled in at a later date

Christmas

This is my AMAZING family!!

The wonderful day of Jesus' birth!!!!  What an exciting day to celebrate with family and friends.  Christmas was a little hectic but well worth it.  Christopher decided he was going to join us this year, yay (I was a little excited, ok alot of excited ;) ) So Christmas eve after he did Christmas with his family he came up to the lake house!!  Oh how I love the lake house, sitting by the warm cozy fire, snuggling on the couch, looking at the christmas decorations, oh how wonderful!  Christmas morning we were all woken up by my obnoxious in a loving way sister, Lauren, even though she is 18 years of age she still believes we need to be up at 7. So her wish is our command rise and shine for everyone- which means Chris, me, Mom, dad, Kera, Brian, Grandma & Grandpa Cake {even though I know they were already up}  Time to open presents....or so you think, my dad has this lovely belief that we need to drag Christmas on FOREVER to make it last all day, sounds great in theory but not if you are excited to see what you got.  As always we started with the stockings....the normal but fun trinkets in stockings to name a few, See's candies, gum, bath & body, toothbrush (I must be stinky), jewelry, gift cards and much more....Santa sure does love us :) Then Santa's presents---Wii games, Yahoo!!  We got this Dance game that me and Lauren are pretty obsessed with its truly super fantatsicly fun!!!!!!  {Chris secretly loves it too even though he wont admit it}  And of course as I said earlier Dad likes to drag Christmas on for ages, so we had breakfast the traditional Jeuvos Rancheros (not sure if that is how it spelled but thats how I am going to spell it), mmmmmm DELICIOUS!!! That is one thing I look forward to every year and only get it once but boy o boy do I love it!  For those of you who have never tried it, you NEED to! Then everybody had to go get ready for the day to you know drag the process on longer.  Then it was time to open presents and for those of you who dont know how presents work in my family we get 3- a want, a need, and a surprise!!  The three things I got which I am so stoked about let me tell you a crock pot {a super fancy one}, a TV {so now I can actually have a desk in Tucson}, and this was so a Dad's present but a huge tool kit full of tools that I do not even know how to use but I have them and thats all that's important, right?!? Actually it was a great present because I do need tools for my apartment so I can hang pictures up and do other things without hopefully hurting myself.  Soooo this was super exciting but I wanted to save it for my Christmas post since it was a Christmas present from Christopher I my present was for us to go on a dinner cruise!  Probably the sweetest thing ever, I had no idea what we were doing until we pulled up to it.  It was at Canyon Lake on a ferry boat, we had dinner {steak, chicken, bake potato, salad, and dessert) Delicious!  and it was 2.5 hours around the lake with wonderful music, words cannot express my love for this boy but it was probably the best present ever (possible even better then my ring because I got to spend a whole romantic night just with him) Anywhoo back to Christmas, after my family's shenanigans Chris and I headed down to Gilbert to spend Christmas night with his family, it was so great to spend time with both family's on Christmas!  I also did get some wonderful Christmas presents from everyone, though I do not have time to go into each one, I love each present dearly that I got from everyone and appreciate them so much so thank you!  And that was Christmas....

Lauren and I playing our new dance game in our wonderful feetie pjs!
Precious :)

Love her!!!
