A Week of Sigma Alpha!!!

Activation week is the week we all love and this activation week was super crazy!! But definitely fun! Of course I was super sick at the beginning of the week which made me worry but by the end of it I was doing pretty good. Thursday night we had a fundraiser at Mama's Hawaiian BBQ {their lemon bar...seriously to die for} then we had a Membership Candidate Meeting where they took there test to be able to be activated. Everyone passed yay!! Friday we had Family Night which was super fun, we had dinner, exchanged paddles and frames, did stuff within our families, and sang to each other. I sooo LOVE my paddle and my Little!!  The next morning we went on a hike in Sabino Canyon to the dam. It was gorgeous outside and the dam was really cool! That night we had the Kentucky Derby with the AGR Boys which was a blast. And then it was Activation on Sunday. Its super hard to explain in detail but I am sure you will enjoy the photos :)

 I was sooo excited!!!
Meet me my family!!

 My family :)

Spring Break!!

My Spring break was super crazy!! And my life well super crazy too! Hence my slacking, I am trying I really am but school is literally killing me!! I am going to give the fastest summary of my spring break, details aren't necessary I feel. The first weekend my family went to the lake house, it had been forever since we were there so guess what we found when we arrived....WEEDS......LOTS OF WEEDS!!!!! SO you can only guess what we did! Sunday we went shooting because Dad bought a new shotgun that he wanted us to learn to use and Dillon came up with Cody and his brother. Monday Lauren, Kaitlin, and I went home. Lauren and I helped the Malmanger girls buy stuff to decorate their rooms. They just moved into a new house! Then Chris and I hung out and watched some movies :) Tuesday I went shooting AGAIN!! But this time with Chris, Ryan, the girls, and a bunch of their other friends. Wednesday I went to the World Wildlife Zoo with Nileah, Niane, Rikki, Lauren, and my Mom. That place is soooo awesome!! Seriously I have never seen so many birds in my life which freaked me out but they had an aquarium there AND I got to feed the giraffes which made up for the plethora of birds. Wednesday I was dropped off at Dillons house so we could head to Disneyland the next day!! The next day we had nothing to do before we went to Disneyland so we went fishing, well it was more like put your fishing pole in the water and watch the fish swim around it. They were spawning so apparently they don't bite {annoying} It was still a gorgeous day and when we got back it was off to Disneyland!! We spent Friday and Saturday at Disneyland and California Adventure, yay! Except it hardcore rained Saturday so we had to gear up, plastic wrap our feet {seriously we did}, put those ponchos on and have a fantastic day! It was pretty chilly but there were barely any lines so that was definitely a plus {smile} Well you probably know about the parks but I would like to point out that we got stuck on NOT 1 BUT 2 rides while we were there! Both nights we got back and were exhausted and crashed in bed for the next day. Sunday we got up to go home, I took them to Roger's Gardens {the best place EVER} and then headed back. We decided to take a detour and go through the Joshua Tree National Park, little did we know it would take us 3 extra hours! Oh well it was gorgeous and it snowed there, weird! Dillon and I didn't get back to Tucson till about 2:30am. I was exhausted to say the least on Monday but I did go to all my classes {dedicated right there, they start 8am to 5pm} So that was my shortened version of Spring break, though not very short :) Enjoy the pictures!!  (Sorry they are out of order, not sure what happened there!)
Shooting the shotgun!! My Daddy was o so very proud of me :)

AHHHH I just shot a gun!! It was soooo powerful hahaha

They were so very proud of themselves!!

Sissy came to Tucson!!

YAY!! I am so glad she came down, we seriously had a blast!! Friday we went to the mac Miller concert, we were so close my ears were ringing when we left! We were right up front at the gate, pretty crazy, it was really funny but my feet seriously hurt from being stepped on so much!! Then she got to experience my life at AGR :) Saturday we drove up for Kendra's baby shower!! Yay I cant believe she is having a boy!!!! Then we drove back to Tucson and enjoyed a girls night with some of my Sigma Alpha ladies! It was such a fun weekend and soooo glad Kaitlin and her came :)

Colorado-Sigma Alpha Girls, Snow, Workshops, AGR Boys....

What could be better?!?
Sylvalyn and I went to Denver, Colorado for the AGR/Sigma Alpha Leadership Seminar. We left at 5:20am {yes AM} for the Tucson International Airport, o ya know we got there a at 5:45 an to our dismay...LINES!! Seriously people, who gets up this early to fly!! {oh ya we are apart of that crazy group} Our bags got these warning tickets on them, your bag may not make your flight, WHHHAATT?? So as I am freaking out Sylvalyn drags me to our flight so we don't miss that. The plane ride was short, good conversations with a man that worked for Monsanto. We got there, it was freezing, so I purchased probably the MOST amazing drink I have EVER tasted in my life, Pomegranate Vanilla Chai Tea, it think God delivered it himself because I thought I had gone to heaven {don't worry I had it 3 times while we were in Denver} and then we had to take the longest rail car ride to get our luggage. We got a taxi to the hotel which was forever and a half away and then met up with our AGR boys. After a while we went to a place similar to Paradise Bakery for lunch to have a "girls social" and then back to the hotel for registration! The conference started soon after and it just took off from there, I went to so many different workshops but it was super fun! I learned a lot to bring back to the chapter and enjoyed all the people I met. I figure you don't want to hear about the boring conference stuff, what I learned, and blah blah, though it was quite beneficial! Now for the fun stuff, Friday night we went with the Colorado State University AGR boys and our boys to downtown Denver, which was gorgeous. To get there we had to ride on the light rail for an hour, sooooo many stops.....o did I mention, Sylvalyn and I had no idea we would be outside the whole time so we just wore sweatshirts....COLD!!! Everything ended up being closed but we still had a blast walking around seeing everything and then going to Johnny Rockets. Oh and on the way back we found an awesome tunnel, just wait till you see the pictures :) The next day, Saturday we woke up and did more workshops, fun activities, leadership building, team building, agriculture advocacy, there is a little more information for you :) I also had the chance to be the Master of Ceremonies for the award ceremony which was pretty cool, I basically did the whole ceremony {of course I read off a script}  and got to meet a bunch of industry people. Oh did I mention I got a scholarship for the trip, so we also took pictures, that was fun :) After the conference wrapped up, Seth and Ross went with us girls to Garcias for some delicious Mexican food, and then we went to our room and watched movies for the rest of the night. Both of those boys are hilarious and we had sooo much fun just hanging out!! Sunday we had to wake up super early AGAIN except we didn't have to I kinda read our plane tickets wrong...oopps! We just ended up having a lot of time to talk to people in the airport, one lady told me I was going to feed the world one day {thank you m'am}. Flight home was average, sat by a couple from Tucson had some good conversations, landed, Jay took us home and I crashed!! It was such a fun weekend and I am so glad I got a scholarship to go!!

Dillons Big 1-9!!

So Dillon turned 19, I swear his age is wrong {smile} but its not! Thats ok, we had fun anyways, I was going to be in Colorado for his real birthday so we celebrated the Thursday before :) I suprised him with going to Mt. Lemmon which was where our first date was {awwhhh, presh} on this big rock. I packed us dinner, more like ordered it from the no name mexican restaurant but it was still delicious!! I blindfolded him though it didnt work he has an amazing sense of direction so I didn't make him keep it on the entire drive. When we got there we laid out a blanket, watched the sunset, ate our delicious food, opened his present, and then it got FREZZING!!! So we left. And had creme brule or however you spell it when we got back to AGR :)
